mattb65
Straight rain in boston, no IP.. thank god for that CF otherwise it'd be icy as all hell out there right now. Any rough idea on when we flip back over to sn-? can't come soon enough heavy heavy puddles. Well if the RUC is to be believed it should be around 21Z aka 4-5pm? apm
The dry slot can't get here fast enough. I think our high water (snow) mark was around 7:15 AM (before the sleet started tamping down the snow), doubt we'll see this snow pack depth again in our lifetime. What a ride that was, though. And the old adage that it doesn't sleet long at BOS lives on.

OKpowdah
How are totals looking for N Mass, S VT/S NH? Underperformer? My mom called saying there's about 5-6" new today IMBY in Keene, and that it was currently falling at least 2in/hr. I think Keene will make 10". Any more will be gravy Moderate to near heavy snow now in Plymouth. I think we'll make it to 8"+ here.
tavwtby
I have about 2" of cement on the ground from today. Also about 1/4" ice accretion . FRDZ attm, but was a sleet fest for most of the morning.

Mr. Windcredible!
33 here a few miles from the shoreline. We were spared major icing...generally looks no more than 0.25" on trees... Not much sagging. Kind of surprising, as it seems zr was primary precip overnight.

MarkO
Join the club.....not doing any harm to the pack, though. Heavy, heavy pingers. My yard stick at 32.5" and holding firm although the snow now has a moonlike cratered surface. I don't think it's going anywhere quick. got to set my sights on Saturday. I'll prolly compact to 30" but hoping I can surpass a full yard.

Logan11
It flipped to sleet here also around 8 AM. Despite eight hours of snow - I only measured 4.5 inches of it. so basically a pretty big bust here. But it will be a two day total of around 10 inches so it could be worse. This stuff won't last much longer here. Edit: getting some snow flakes in it again, but there can't be much left. Wow....I'm sleeting to death lol
dendrite
How are totals looking for N Mass, S VT/S NH? Underperformer? It's an underperformer...especially if you're going by the high end 20-25" forecasts that everyone was spitting out days ago. That's why you don't go balls to the wall on TV 3 days out...especially in a SWFE.I never liked the ratio possibility up here for today unless the storm was further south. Looks like it will be our friend Organizing Low that gets in on the deform snows up in S QB. I'm going to end up with 10:1, or even a hair less, ratios after this heavy batch moves through. I think my 2 day total will be about 10" by 1pm. Then maybe we add some trivial light sleet pellets, snow grains, or even freezing drizzle before the upper lows move back through and we get a little fluff on top from the hanging back precip. That's still a bit of a wildcard for me right now though...it's more likely for NNE especially with some upslope N winds and better H7 moisture. I was going with 12-18" for a 2 day total here which will be a little high. We may flirt with the low end, but something like 9-15" would've been better. The 20-25"/18-24" numbers from WHDH/NECN a couple days ago didn't have a prayer.

Kind of surprising, as it seems zr was primary precip overnight. If you're normal and don't have a tree limb breaking power outage fetish like kev - isn't it such a relief when the thermometer goes from 31.9 to 32.1 so you avoid the heavy ice.
