I understand it's about ratings but do we really need continuous coverage of a rain event in Boston? One of the stations has a guy walking through 1/2 inch of slush.... we live in Boston not Florida, we can handle it. This is what we call a routine storm and yet we have 24/7 coverage

NAM really backed off for N NE from the 0z to the 12z. Ends up the 6z had the right idea.

When people stop watching it then stations will stop doing it. Storm coverage even during somewhat tame storms scores monster ratings.

Same here!

Cool.......wonder what is going on in the Acton/Chelmsford area between us.

My IP are the stealthiest ever - I can't hear them unless I'm outside next to rhododendrons that have had their snow shaken off!

Ha! a few large flakes are now mixing in here - weenie hope!

we need the agawam guy and the ice warrior commander guy to be posting some obs...i.e wether they flip to fat flakes

those returns are 40-45 i.e legendary.....looks like 4-5/hr stuff for real!

It's probably 1-2"/hr, but there's bright banding from the aggregates forming aloft.

Strange storm here. Some light glaze on the trees, but less than half what we had a couple of weeks ago. Even down here, we've had a lot of sleet mixed in with the zr, which has slowed accretion dramatically. 100% sleet at the moment. I was certain we'd be hammered with zr based on the reports around us.

27F and rising pretty quickly.

Went outside to seeif I got any sleet mixing in. Can't see any and can only hear something faint on an overturned plastic sled. But I think it's the large flakes making the noise.
