HIPPYVALLEY
Have to say the forecasts for W. Ma. won't be that far off. Nobody is seeing the outrageous 20"+ forecasts. But the local TV mets will all be on with their calls of 2 day totals of 10-18" up and down the valley.

MarkO
50/50 parachutes and sleet here now. My accumulations may not be over... 7.8" yesterday, 3" (unofficial) today closing in on a foot total.
DomNH
I'll say it...this storm blows...-sn/pl or giant aggregates back and forth with the popcorn radar. At least we have another 9-10'' of snow, and that's all that matters.
NB-Weather
Picked up about 0.28 inches of ice, still raining just not 100% sure if its freezing This chunk of ice was actually taken from the street, not all from freezing rain. Really no point in going anywheres considering road conditions.
Clinch Leatherwood
If you need cornmeal they're giving it away on the MA Pike near 495. Tractor rolled and split open....cornmeal all over the place.
moneypitmike
I wonder if MRG is SN+ or PL right now. Im guessing sleet, but if its snow, its ripping. It's ripping snow here, but he's south of of me so I'm not sure.

At least we have another 9-10'' of snow, and that's all that matters. upton radar long range signature has taken a right hook ....with precip to the N of site moving first SW/NE but now more w-e.... as low pressure gets going more .....to me this says snow and perhaps people going from pinger back to snow. ....esp rte 2 corridor......accums may not be done for randy lee! snowwoman
28 degrees light to moderate "rain". Starting to puddle now on the iced snow pack and driveway but very icy still. The trees have a "nice" glaze on their branches. We are in Ansonia on the Woodbridge line about 2 miles from Northern New Haven.

We'll be a good test case here - IP and no ZR, with feathers. The IP is increasing in intensity some. What do you have now?
HIPPYVALLEY
It's ripping snow here, but he's south of of me so I'm not sure. He's on the road to Vt but I'm guessing it's got to be pinging at his house based on the radar. Looks like that RT 2 anti-sleet wall is holding for us. I've gotten and 1" in the past hour after i thought we were done. Gets my 2 day total solidly over 11"

Clinch Leatherwood
I understand it's about ratings but do we really need continuous coverage of a rain event in Boston? One of the stations has a guy walking through 1/2 inch of slush.... we live in Boston not Florida, we can handle it. This is what we call a routine storm and yet we have 24/7 coverage NAM really backed off for N NE from the 0z to the 12z. Ends up the 6z had the right idea. CapturedNature
I wish this was all zr and not a mix of ip and zr..we'd have a much better chance of tree and powerline damage How much glazing do you have down in Tolland? We have very little here in Stafford Springs....mostly IP.
moneypitmike
only 4 miles away ....breakfast time! MPM what you got for accums so far (ballpark?)
