weatherwiz
IP/ZR mix still with mainly ZR...think glaze on everything...the predominant IP is making it hard for much more glazing to occur.

TalcottWx
I dont understand the point of some people making up stuff... everyone can see the model and bufkit its quite obvious what is going to happen. How does there end up being such discrepencies?
CoastalWx
I may drive around later.....some cars that have been parked all winter are BURIED.....just entirely reduced to a mere silhouette in the snow. I posted a pic of one back in the snowpack thread. Just a mere hump in the snow..lol. I took some pics as well.
leesun
8:30 update Round 1--- 7.2" Round 2---3.0" Storm Total---10.2" Sleet/ zr mix Season Total---72.5" BDL has to be pretty darn close to 80'' as well...they could break 100''!
Damage In Tolland
I wish this was all zr and not a mix of ip and zr..we'd have a much better chance of tree and powerline damage
CoastalWx
Still RAPL with periods of mdt sleet.
dabize
This is what I said days ago Knew I'd sleet here, didn't think zr...no signs of that yet. Hopefully our regionwide intensities pickup some because it's definitely snowing nice here now, again. Turned to IP about 40 min ago here (centered between 495, 128, the pike and Rte 2) - some small feathery stuff as well - presumably generated below the warm layer. You must be 40-50 miles north of me easy, so if I have no ZR yet (and I don't - I just came in from shoveling), then you should be safe for a bit yet...... Assuming that this is it for accums here - I have near 14" total, but most of it (10") was yesterday. Not too bad, but about 4-5" less than BOX had for me. My rather dubious thermometer reads 18 degrees.
CT Rain
It does in interior SNE Western and northern mass for sure. Not for you with a big wintry mix.
stormwts1
90% sleet at the moment. Sleet has been falling for the past 30 min. or so. 8.5" total
dendrite
Still RAPL with periods of mdt sleet. 10-15 years ago you'd be getting some good RAPE instead of RAPL.
weatherMA
Snow mixing back in with this heavier sleet. Still mostly PL.

weatherMA
I wonder if MRG is SN+ or PL right now. Im guessing sleet, but if its snow, its ripping.
cpickett79
Absolutely ripping SN+ here again in this heavy band. Great news b/c i thought we were done when it started pinging an hour ago. you have just given randy lee hubba dave and ray some wood with that statement or at least some hope. moneypitmike
Western and northern mass for sure. Not for you with a big wintry mix. I also don't think this is a 6-12 deal. Looks a little more tame, perhaps as high end adv/low end warning deal. Of course, things could change--IF WE GET MORE QPF!!!!
