Digger
Don't know if you all saw this on the NWS Pit Site. http://www.erh.noaa....bz/wcm/Dualpol/ Pretty cool. I wonder if Pittsburgh's getting it first though, so that the bugs can be worked out here, where our severe events are not usually as life threatening as say, someplace in Tornado Alley? You know there are sure to be some bugs, and accompanying outages...
north pgh
We must have a warm cap over our area because storms are fireing to our East also. Lately almost every MCS weakens as it moves in and re-developes to our East. I wouldn't be surprised if this thing goes south and then hooks up with the activity to our east and forms a solid line to our south and east. Ditto again. Strong MCS weakens as it moves in last night and re-fires to our south. Then today the storms fire up to our south. This has been the same vicious cycle since mid may. Last good thunderstorm here with lightning was May 13th. At least I am saving on mowing the browning grass.

blackngoldrules
I think it's looking more and more like we'll just see temps around 90 or maybe low 90s next week for a few days. Those long range models tend to exaggerate heat waves in the summer and cold spells in the winter it seems. This may be another case of that. It's still going to be pretty hot though. We'll at least have a good chance of adding to the 90 degree totals for the summer.
