zgummy
Trippy lines next to the current data showing trends. But where is temperature?
Voyager
Wanna try something funny? launch your NOAA weather radio twice. You get a nice echo that sounds as if your near a football stadium on game day.
phlwx
Not a big fan of the redesign. I think it could have used a refresh but just not a fan of it. It's not incredibly efficient with visible space.
blazess556
really dislike the design. im glad they have the classic page. I was so used to the old design.

isohume
I like it....but they could use some competition.
Ottawa Blizzard
really dislike the design. im glad they have the classic page. I was so used to the old design. hear hear! They better keep the classic option there, but if they're like Facebook, everyone will eventually have to go to their new design.
Ian
I love it, awesome redesign. im sure it will be better in the end but i hope they will consider shifting some things around. local weather is of far more interest than some world map and some meteorologist blogger i've never heard of. Mallow
My favorite wunderground features are still there (radar and history), so the switch is fine by me.
Kevin W
Ads.... I gave them $10 about 10 years ago and have an ad-free interface. How did you manage that? I have to give them $10 a year. Is there a setting on the new site to make the radars auto refresh? Good question.
Omahawx
I love the new design, much more up to date. You will all get used to the change, just like when people stopped bitching about the new facebook re design
Isopycnic
How did you manage that? I have to give them $10 a year. Good question. I am guessing that I provide them weather data and I get the discounted membership?
NEGa
not a big fan of the new design, esp removing the most important thing from a wx site, the freaking forecast. i loved being able to get a quick glance at the next couple of days. i am using the classic, the new one does seem dumbed down and less weather oriented. eekuasepinniW
I am guessing that I provide them weather data and I get the discounted membership? Indeed. I signed up in 2004 and never had to pay again. I just checked, and it appears they recently extended my account to 2012. They have such an odd business model... people with stations are the ones who use the site often enough to justify paying for no ads. And they let people hand out as many gift accounts, including to yourself, as you want. I guess money from paid accounts must make up a pretty insignificant amount of their income. Ian
i signed up in the beginning and never paid again either. i did used to feed data to them but that ended like 7 yrs ago.
JBG
Good! Hopefully they keep giving us the option. i like how on the classic site you can scroll down the page to see all your favourites. They're "favorites", unless you're writing in the Canadian language.

jimmosk
And what's with the axis-free line charts for pressure, precipitation, wind chill, and dew points? Come on, if I want faux weather for the masses, I go to Weather Channel's weather.com. When I want solid information, I turn to weatherunderground. I hope I can continue to do so. That's the feature that most startled me about the redesign. This is the first real-world website that I've ever encountered where they've adopted Edward Tufte's idea for tiny data-dense graphics that can fit right in the middle of a text block without being a separately-located figure (Tufte calls 'em Sparklines). But I don't understand why WU is using them where they are, no block of text around them... surely some other kind of graph would be better in that location.
