wxeyeNH
11am heavy snow surprisingly fairly large flakes. Vis 1/16 to 1/8 mile. 2.25" new past hour. 10" storm total (2.5" from yesterday)
dendrite
+SN 2.3" new last hour. It got a little hairy for a bit with some huge 1"+ aggregates under 45dBZ, but it remained all snow. The Canterbury and Sanbornton RWIS sites both got down to around 1/8SM with their vis sensors, but I struggled to make out the trees in my backyard during the height of it. The vis has come up a bit now, but is still a bit under 1/4SM I'd presume.
dendrite
...aaaand just like that it's over. Looks like mostly crappy snow grains out there...maybe some sleet, but I haven't been out to confirm yet.
Bigbob
Had heavy snow an hour ago. After it let up a few pingers were heard. Now just light/moderate snow. 6"+ round 2 so far after 4.5" round

adk
Pretty cool feature some friends worked up using twitter: Bascailly they created an account called FISWX. The goal was to get real time storm reports from people's cell phones. Pretty useful in storms if you can't check the web. What you do is if you are on twitter just submit the report @FISWX. If not you can submit the report to [email protected] (can be from email enabled phone or any text messaging phone). These reports appear on the FISWX page. But the real magic apparently was that they coded FISWX to re-tweet automatically all of these reports back out to followers of FISWX. So if you follow it, and somebody reports heavy snow you get that report. I've been using it all day and it's pretty neat.

MaineJayhawk
for totals, I'd say this was a disappointment. Yeah, I won't hit 10" for this part of it. An 8" snow is good, but when the forecast has 12+ it is disappointing.
TalcottWx
Yeah, I won't hit 10" for this part of it. An 8" snow is good, but when the forecast has 12+ it is disappointing. Yeah sucks to be honest but still a good snowfall irregardless.
vttaconics
8" seems to be the consensus. I'm a smidge over. Maybe 8.5". Hell of a disappointment. Terrible snow growth with this one. Time to fire up the blower. Warmed up to 23 here.

dendrite
Went out a little early to take my snow core since the snow is pretty much done. Just some -SGPLSN and 16.0F. Since 6am... 5.2" new snow on 0.46" w.e....so even with the insane rates for that 2hr period we only managed about 11:1. Day 1: 3.2" 0.32" Day 2: 6.7" 0.66" Total 9.9" 0.98" Maybe we can get a little more on top so I don't have to finish with an official 9.9" snow total. tamarack
Between 4 and 4.5" here - I think my 7-8" guess (forecast is 10-14) will be close. 19" at the stake. Almost all small flakes with modest ratio; a sample at 1.3" (8 AM) was exactly 10:1. Had one nice burst 10-10:20, 1st +SN I've seen here since 2/09, and close to 1" in 20 min. Rest of time has been SN at about 1/2"/hr. Temp pegged at 10F since 9 last night. Ah! Another bit of +SN as I type, probably no longer-lasting than the earlier one. Radar has showed blotches of heavier stuff but no banding that I've seen around here.
MaineJayhawk
My snow rate has dropped considerably this past 15 min or so. I wish I knew how much fell 10:30 to 11:30 because that's when the core blasted through.
