SpartyOn
+SN winds 20-25. Not a bad start. Convective Banding will be a blast..Detroit does get screwed though..North burbs in the higher elevations will get crushed.
A-L-E-K
I hope these videos speak for themselves, Foster St Beach, Foster and LSD, Chicago. The pic is hard to make out, but that's a 4 ft handrail with a drift well over the top. As for totals so far, who the hell knows. This storm is b**ch slapping '99 whether or not it's totals matchup. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yN05ZQCk7-o http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0hoCORheKc

Pathfinder
I am assuming TWC met said that because of the snow - that didn't fall. I've heard him say that several times tonight and you're right, it's because they got more sleet than snow. He acknowledged most of the snow fell west of STL, but still declared it a bust from a snowfall perspective.

JoMo
Just nuts out there... I know this is going to sound terrible but its really not even an enjoyable event.. I like watching the flakes fall and stack up no matter how little or big the snowfall.. this just blows around in swirls and creates next to whiteouts - Not exciting to me at all. I had a 9-10 inch snowpack in the wind tunnel and its down to pickers sticking out lol. Can't believe I'm even saying the above but I just despise wind when it snows. I'm the same way, I like to watch the snow falling and venture outside during the storm. I was going to today, but I opened the door up and got sandblasted in the face by a gust of wind and snow and I was like screw this and closed the door. Chicago WX
DON'T LEAVE US~ Says a prayer. I'm holding on BowMe. Just stupid wicked out there right now. Worth the price of admission though. I am assuming TWC met said that because of the snow - that didn't fall. Yep, that's what I was thinking. Sucks for them, though we're in the same boat here in LAF. Indystorm
Very heavy snow here at Elkhart now as the band has moved up from the south. But we have yet to receive the strong winds being reported in western IN and IL.
Hoosier
Wind has a real gusty quality here. One minute not much and then can hear a barrage of sleet hitting the windows. I think we're a little higher than what LAF is reporting.
