Epic winter signal continues to beam, part VI

A lot of people might get freezing drizzle tonight as the lift is light and generally well below the snow growth region. Then the snow start back up tomorrow morning early as the lift deepens again...then the sleet line moves back north again during the event.

That exact thing happened in the 1994 long duration January event. I remember shoveling between snow pulses with zl crusted all over my coat.

Today is just the quintessential winter day. Heavy snow for 6 hours then Currier and Ives stuff for the rest of the day and into the night. Wash, rinse, and repeat tomorrow only with heavier snow.

Hi dom..

I guess ill waste a post on accumulations here lol..

We have around 5 inches here I'd say.. I took a mesasurement at noon of 3 inches so its Probably around 5-6 inches now...

As for the Nam dropping qpf tomorrow.. that is just standard 18z Nam at its best.. 00z will def come in more juiced.. what tells me it will is that the GFS is actually has actually more qpf for storm two than the Nam, which usually never happens.. I trust gfs Qpf here and its about 1.25-1.50 tomorrow for SNH...

Also, take a look at the the NMM and ARW.. its been great with QPF lately, and it drops 1.25-1.50 for SNH..

Also, just take a look at the Midwest radar! That thing is juiced! How is that only. 75-1.00" here? Not a chance.. I see 1-3" per hour there

Vim SN+!

Chicopee, Mass had 10" and someone else in Suffield reported 8.5", so how are you way less than those numbers!

I only had 7.5...no clearing any boards but still that would maybe get me up to 8 or so at best??? I am not sure in swfe how those numbers in other towns are that much higher esp when a bunch of places in the berks did not get all that much..looking at albany pns...i know there was an area of very heavy snow in noho and easthampton this morning so they are the only places I would really expect to come in a few inches higher

All and all it really still looks like that initial first suggestion I made in that first "Epic winter signal" thread to me ... Which is to say, ZR event for CT-RI, IP/SNOW battles between there and perhaps midway between Rt poop and the Pike, and lot of snow for the northern half of Mass into S VT/NH.

Temperature up to 21.4 degrees. Projected temperature for this time was 28.0 degrees (prob wont make much of a difference haha) Storm looks impressive on satellite, someones going to get some nice totals from this!!

not dow your way, unfortunately. get ready for loads and loads of pingers then some nice freezing rain. you might even poke up to 33 or 34 for a while tomorrow

Of course I am 1 town south of Rte "Poop"... let the battle commence (I'm thinking 90% snow, but that is ok...plenty more to come!)
