CT Rain
wow wow wow wow, what happened afternight? Went to bed with a prediction of .20 inches of ice.. woke up with a predicted .84 inches of ice.. So much ice out there right now, never seen so much ice in my life. Yet its not even close to over.. Trees are starting to droop down, same with power lines. .8-1.0 inches of ice will be devastating here. Any pics? How much accretion do you have now? weatherwiz
Mentioned this before, coastal seems to be starting to inflow, not heavy stuff but not dry and if you are lucky in the snow zone accumulating stuff. For those in southern CT with the icing issues right now this will probably be enough to make things a bit worse and for those getting accumulating snows this could help may be tack on another few inches perhaps. Ginx snewx
Completely showery in nature and undoubtedly sleet/zr south of the pike. But organizing for those in the snow area, just because its not ripping 2 per hour, It is most critical for guys like Joe in Fairfield. Lighter FRZRA accumulates and accretes pretty fast. CoastalWx
Noyes bangs the gong for Saturday for interior SNE.. Getting some more ready to chuck mattnoyes Matt Noyes At this point, 60-80% chance greater than 6" snow for interior Southern NewEng late Saturday/Sat Night. You may be on the line, but I'd feel good near Will and points north and west. Hopefully it trends cooler. Next week may be fun as well. Might need it if we relax the pattern. ski MRG
He must have doubled Worthington's official snow depth of 27" by now...probably tripled it. I've been wondering when you would make some snide comment. Every snow entry I have is corroborated by other reports in the area. Besides, you agreed that Worthington's numbers are low and suspect. Hopefully the pellets will be bouncing off Pete's locks in no time. Gee thanks Scott, rain for you the rest of the Winter. SN+ Later guys, jumping in the truck and heading North. Magic MTN or bust. Getting psyched for more snow Sat night.

This and the Boxing day event are the only two that have dissapointed me this season, so I'll take that and run.....but rain next week will make me vomit. Baroclinic Zone
I'm sorry, but BOX outta be absolutely ashamed of themselves because that 18-24" call was absolute BS and irresponsible. No excuse for that becuase it wasn't even justifiable. I said it yesterday morning that I had no clue how they were calling for amounts that high. http://www.americanwx.com/bb/index.php?/topic/11958-epic-winter-signal-continues-to-beam-part-v/page__view__findpost__p__410887 ]I still haven't figured out for the life of me how BOX has me in the ~10" storm total.[/b] God love em but I just don't see it unless rnd 1 over-performs to about 8". I think rnd 2 is going to be mostly sleet/fzra/ra for me.Really nice snows outside now at work. ~1.5"

Well, I missed the boat on the 2nd event, then because I didn't see myself coming in with under 5" and that looks to happen.

weatherMA
6:25 am measurement: 2.7" (9.2 total), which puts us at only .5 last hour. Sn+ now, with growth a little better, so the next two hours is how I get to 5" if I get there.
HIPPYVALLEY
Ripping here right now SN+ Looks like we're done w/i the hour unless that radar fills in. For a lot of folks yesterday will have brought the higher totals. I'm sure many parents in W. Ma. will be questioning why school canceled today but not yesterday.
