40/70 Benchmark
AWT, I think (hope) I get 6-7. Glad I stood my ground, this time. Everyone remember this the next time a swfe rolls around and the RUC tries to ping Dendrite.

ORH_wxman
Starting at what time? Im wondering if the extra inch could have fallen from 5-11? Last measurment was around 5pm...maybe 430....but we didn't get much of anything between the time I measured and when I went to bed. You could have gotten a bit extra if you less time to separate the two events.
wxsniss
box afd: Still liked the cooler idea brought fourth from GFS and so initialized most temperature and thickness grids with GFS based guidance. However...dynamic cooling has already made this...the coolest of the guidances...already too warm than current ob and radar trends suggest. CoastalWx
Ray your 6" threshold is within reach I think, esp of you count the newer stuff from the last couple of hours. I'll stick with my 5-9 for you from yesterday, although the 9" may be high.

weatherwiz
Ryan, Remember last night when I said it was the 6th snowiest winter on record for the Hartford area...I heard you say it was 8th...I looked on your blog at the records section and I see your using data pre-1950...I was using records from 1950 on...that's the difference. Just out of curiosity how far back did you use for data?

weatherwiz
1905... that's how far back they go. Ok...I just used 1950 on just b/c I've heard there could be some accuracy issues with data pre-1950. But to stay consistent I'll just use back to 1905 as well.
