MaineJayhawk
I've been saying for days that that storm is mainly rain for alot of us. Yes, you have. I'm totally with you there now.
ORH_wxman
Erie, PA has held at ice for the past 2 hours...we'll see how it goes. You think we go above freezing here? I doubt you make it above freezing. If you did it might be the type of thing where you hit 33F for a couple hours in the afternoon after the precip has ended...this would be if the sfc low hugged a bit closer. So 99% of the precip would be freezing or frozen.
Bostonseminole
Bouchard saying an additional couple of inches, maybe 3-4 in Boston. Says around 7 am snowing at the rate of an inch an hour but doesn't last for more than an hour or two. Also said Boston hits 38 before cooling. Said saturday rain/snow is west of Worcester, more rain for Tuesday. yeah, I not really worried about forecasts for Sat or Tue storm at this point, lots can change. ORH_wxman
Wow...the EURO actually caved to the GFS with regard to the Sat event.....I didn't see it mentioned. Yeah it came in colder. I think there's a decent chance the interior will see snow or at least a wintry mix out of that. The setup doesn't look all that great initially at first glance, but there is a lot of sneaky confluence hanging on as that low comes up. So probably snow and/or ice here. weathafella
Methinks I'm owing messenger dinner. Double down. Should be fun nonetheless. BOS so far 6.8 for the event. Harv still hasn't changed his accums from earlier. NAM is bathing suite wx above the ground at least. So the question is how much snow can I get before the midlevel torch. We'll know soon enough. Shoveling was a huge pain tonight....I'm tired from weenieing and working and not sleeping enough.

I didn't know that about the Euro, either. In fact, I haven't looked at Saturday at all til the latest GFS run and saw it shift west from 18z. Maybe there is more hope for it than I initially thought. Doc will be telling. Big winter incoming. yadda yadda.

weathafella
Meanwhile...it is not out of the question for ORD to have their biggest event ever. 8 hours straight of blizzard conds....and old school definition with temps 20 or less. They don't do this often but when they do it's the real deal.
