Boston Met's on the 10 o'clock news are all downgrading big time for snow amounts all the way up into Southern NH. Going over to straight rain in Beantown.....

Not terribly surprised. I'd maybe have waited for the GFS before pulling the chute but if the GFS goes warm too...

The new RUC has ticked 1/2 pube colder than the old RUC. For messneger :P.

EDIT: actually maybe more like one full pube.

When? At 9h on the 2z it's warmer near Boston at 1000-700 than the 0z?

Thing is the 2z RUC forecast for 12z IS the 0z RGEM.

It looks like its moving really fast towards us,Im starting to think if it gets in here fast and out of here fast it wont have time for the temps to get above freezing at the coast before the bulk of the precip is over.

I don't think it works that way.

You need a chill pill you're going to be plenty cold for most of it I think...and if by chance you aren't cold enough you'll be one of the many unhappy campers.

CF is going to honk in the late night/morning. RUC torches logan to 35+ just after the commute.

Oh I agree completely. I was just pointing it out. Also interesting how it just shuts off completely after about 18z.

It looks pretty good to me.

I think they have the jackpot too far south imo... we have seen some guidance bringing sleet to even the nh border at times... if that happens the jackpot will be more centered across the NH lakes region and west into VT and east into ME. Idk, and I think someone sees more than 16" in favorable areas but thats just me.

Which is curious as even 1000-700mb thicknesses on the NAM should have been plenty cold for snow by 10pm in that area.

3z NAM forecast sounding for IJD. Not great.

Rob Marciano from CNN was doing a live shot from Lakeshore Drive a few minutes back, and i swear, he had a pure Cantori moment... The brightest flash of lightening overhead Ive ever seen on tv, followed shortly by the obligatory clap of thunder.. It was truely spectacular!
