What does the Cape know about ratios? :P

Enough to realize Mt Everest would have a tough time pulling some of the ratios we've seen this year ;)

You guys will all do fine up there in bear and moose country. It may warm in the southern part of NH for a time but how much precip is left at that point anyway? Ski resorts are doing the happy dance and Saturday I will be too....

I may end up being screwed out of a tenth or two of QPF after 18z or so...oh well.

RUC might be a little too warm, but yeah you may get very little snow imo.

Thanks. If the RUC gets any warmer this run I may need to put the air conditioners in at lunch tomorrow and get the mower fired up.

2z is coming in warmer than the 1z...which was warmer than the 0z etc.

Beachball and mankini weather for Phil and I.

Yeah...00z hasn't run yet. And actually it gets the 850 0C line up to the NH/MA border.

Just glanced at the total snowfall on it for part 1...looks like it did pretty damn well.

All I saw was the 15'' spot it put up and figured.

And yeah, it missed the big amounts in the Chicopee area, but overall it did well with the heaviest placement.

LOL reading the central thread and the sleet folk are posting about the blowing and drifting sleet that they've seen 4-6" sleet and some dude posted an 18" drift of SLEET, YUCK!

Did see one of them say that the east coasters don't know what a blizzard is really about arrowheadsmiley.png

Guess they need to be on the cape or ack when they're gusting past hurricane force - not this measly 50 kt gust

E. Coast only people are used to always having visual reference.

the blowing and drifting out in the true flatlands out there is pretty wild.. some areas are totally flat landscapes with no trees and or other landmarks.. whiteouts in that environment are different and disorienting vs. NE

This was from a poster in chicago. I've been there... they have plenty of visual references lol. it was a pretty weenie comment.. but point made about flat-boring lands out there - I've also visited south bend so I have a good picture of flat expanses of nothingness.

As one who lived out there I will attest to this. I don't really see much in the way of drifts here in the woods, but out on the prairie you can see some pretty amazing things created by wind and snow.
