Let's be honest, the collapse of our strongest ally in the Middle East is just a bit more important long-term than a snowstorm

Looks like PVD ended the day with 5.7". Temps only got to 22 today which is probably a good sign they'll see some solid icing tomorrow. With an inch of precip and maybe only 2" or so of snow, I'd be surprised if they only ended up with 1/10" of icing, especially if mid-levels warm as quickly as modeled.

Here I thought it was Israel.

hey its pretty cold down there on long island after getting into the low and mid thirties..isp is only 26 and montauk is only 30..not bad!

Good to see you onboard.

I take it round 1 was an overperformer there as it was here?

I don't care what the models try to do, you and I will not be denied at least another 8" of snow.....watch everyone act all stunned when the sleet line is given a wedgie by that high, once reaching the corridor immiedately to the south of the MA pike.....remember I said this and laugh your way all the way to the yard stick.

Let's be honest, the collapse of our second strongest ally in the Middle East is just a bit more important long-term than a snowstorm

Fixed.

I think Upton was a bit high on snow accums for the CT shore but they did warn all along that pinpointing freezing rain is a delicate dance.

For you? It's awfully tight...maybe 2-4? I haven't looked hard in your area, to be honest.

GFS really tries to completely stop mid level warming between 12z and 15z over BOS, based on critical thicknesses. This is when lift should go through the roof.

Since you're bandying about numbers, Scott??? TIA

Even the GFS doesn't sleet me verbatim, so yeah, I've got my sights set on another 10'' or so.

our strongest Arab ally in the Middle East...

Obviously Israel, the only democracy and non-Muslim country, is America's strongest ally in the Middle East.

Thousands of miles OT, apologies all.

Yeah, I think we rip for 6-8 hours and then we have what we are getting right now...nickel and dime fluff...as the storm departs.

I think you def. sleet once the meanigful precip is out....you will be suprised by how far that makes it, but it's trvial, really...

Sleet and\or frz drizzle is gonna rocket into sNH once the meaningful QPF is gone.

I think it's going to thump here Mike. What have you picked up so far? I'm hoping to top out for the whole event(s) around 20". Got a good launch pad today of 8.5" so I think it's attainable.

I'm expecting a good thumping. I got 6" through the bulk of today's event. Other tha noting that it slowly is accumulating, I'm not really paying attention to the really slow but steady stuff that's been taking place since 2:00

We shall see. But if it does, I agree, the most it will rob me of is maybe an additional inch.

As of 5PM, 6.3. 66.6 for the season...should hit 70 by 9AM....and don't r/o a decent snow burst before the main event to bring another inch or 3 before midnight. Amazing winter.

Yeah London has been fantastic haha I've been getting photo updates from back home of the snow. After living through DC's winter last year I've had my snow fix but it's nice to watch unfold anyway!
