CoastalWx
How early? It seems to be earlier and earlier everytime I check today. Could be snowing by 4-5am in parts of ctrl mass. This storm has big bust potential. If we have really great lift for 5-6 hours, then totals go up. 1-2F in the midlevels is the line we're talking about here. Very subtle temp changes will have a big outcome. For now, I'm staying conservative, but I'm aware of the bust potential. I'd feel better if mid levels were cooler, but we are already at a launching pad for those temps. Saw Harvey had 4-6 additional which is reasonable. Damage In Tolland
huh? That's the report on the PNS..I didn't think you guys had more than Tolland/Stafford..but maybe there was a heavy band down there
Damage In Tolland
We've gone back over to light snow here after some zrdr and snowgrains... thinking an easy 2-4 here before any mix with sleet. precip should be into all of Sne by 2:00am

ski MRG
Yeah--it's never stopped here. Certainly nothing dramatic, but it keeps coming in spite of lacklsuter radar. Same here never really cut off just -sn like 1/4" hr rate.
Mr Torchey
some interesting signs, a little snow pixie dust sleet happening in the nyc metro, and there are certainly some tiny needles mixing in with the drizzle here, nice to see the mid levels cool after the first wave, think its great news for those of you up north. Praying for pingers.
vttaconics
Absolutely nothing on the radar, yet still snowing lightly here. 10 degrees! A damp, bone-chilling 10 degrees. Get to sleep in tomorrow..... just got that coveted phone call!!!! Did a little snow jig afterward. I think the majority of schools in VT have already cancelled for tomorrow. Smart move. Even the drive home today was treacherous.... with only two inches.

40/70 Benchmark
This really is a thing of beauty...... I'd tie an anvil to my feet and jump into one of those 1000 lakes if I lived in MN.
40/70 Benchmark
I am too. I still think we may mix perhaps near mid morning in BOS. If the good lift can come in early, we have a shot of getting a nice dumping. If it takes a while, mid levels warm and we could only have an inch or two, then sleet. However, this stuff is coming in early, so it will be done early. I think 3-5 additional for me, with the caveat of perhaps bumping them up after the 00z runs. I didn't measure, but I have a good amount here. Perhaps 7-7.5". Still some snow/snow grains falling. 21F. 4-8".

ski MRG
Local mets are suggesting a bump up in totals based on what looks to be a steady moisture feed coming into parts of W. Ma. Do Boston folks remember Ed Carroll? He's on ch 40 from Springfield. Bump it up.

CoastalWx
4-8". That may be tough, but doable. I feel more comfortable with the 5". What about you? I'd say 5-9" for you.

CoastalWx
Scooterpie..what do you think for additional amounts south of pike? For you? It's awfully tight...maybe 2-4? I haven't looked hard in your area, to be honest. GFS really tries to completely stop mid level warming between 12z and 15z over BOS, based on critical thicknesses. This is when lift should go through the roof.

Let's be honest, the collapse of our strongest ally in the Middle East is just a bit more important long-term than a snowstorm Looks like PVD ended the day with 5.7". Temps only got to 22 today which is probably a good sign they'll see some solid icing tomorrow. With an inch of precip and maybe only 2" or so of snow, I'd be surprised if they only ended up with 1/10" of icing, especially if mid-levels warm as quickly as modeled. ski MRG
Enjoy Magic Mtn. Haven't been there since Xmas 1987. Slide of Hans was always my favorite trail. 1" of snow today followed by .5" sleet and a glaze of FZRA. Looks like the models are leaning towards me turning to all rain tomorrow. Might have to travel north and do some skiing to see some good snow this weekend. MAgic is great when they've got the steep stuff open. Such a good MTN too bad they're in such financial dire straits. I like Goniff Glade and Magician but with a deep snow we'll be skiing the chutes under the lift. Nice and Steep and only skiable when there is a deep base. Plan to be there for first chair. The snow will be here, ski it while you can.
