40/70 Benchmark
Weathafella harvey's depiction is ugly. He just said he wouldn't be surprised if there was some sleet in Boston at 5am. His graphic had the sleet/mix line right on your doorstep at 5. What happens if we're both wrong? What the models are latching onto is that the mid level warm push is going to win afer I get another 8-12" from rd II....I'd be lying if I told you I really cared. NB-Weather
Temp down to 19.4 degrees, will be interesting to see how low it gets too. Forecasted high for tomorrow was only 33, one degree could make a huge difference! Oh yeah and its still freezing drizzling out, nasty out there. Bostonseminole
Well looking at radar it will be snowing at a good clip pretty early. This one will produce. I'd bet my life but even I'm not that dumb... I'm with you Jerry...
CoastalWx
He's being conservative for now until the midnight models come in. That's a smart move on his part. With all the model waffeling, he wants to make sure he doesn't get backed into a corner like other mets. I am too. I still think we may mix perhaps near mid morning in BOS. If the good lift can come in early, we have a shot of getting a nice dumping. If it takes a while, mid levels warm and we could only have an inch or two, then sleet. However, this stuff is coming in early, so it will be done early. I think 3-5 additional for me, with the caveat of perhaps bumping them up after the 00z runs. I didn't measure, but I have a good amount here. Perhaps 7-7.5". Still some snow/snow grains falling. 21F.

HIPPYVALLEY
Local mets are suggesting a bump up in totals based on what looks to be a steady moisture feed coming into parts of W. Ma. Do Boston folks remember Ed Carroll? He's on ch 40 from Springfield.

wxmanmitch
Back to -SN after some FZDZ the past 2 hours. Mid-levels must be cooling a bit as the first waves pulls down some slightly cooler air in its wake.
