yeah...it was supposed to start as 3-5" of snow, then sleet, then freezing rain.

Meh went through Hugo at Coastal Carolina, grew up at Pawleys Island, a little different when you lose power and its in the mid 20's, but get the jist.

I've been through a hurricane...I can handle an ice storm.

Usually not quite as cold after the Hurricane.lol Guess you weren't around for the Dec.2008 icestorm. 7 days without power with bitter cold and snow isn't much fun but whatever floats your boat.

I just find it funny when people who want hundreds and hundreds of inches of snow freak out over some ice. I've been through some significant ice storms in WNY anyway.

Speaking of roofs when I was outside shoveling earlier I took a look up at mine and there is quite a bit of snow on it, despite it being more slopped in nature. Plus this foundation isn't the sturdiest and not the most level. I told my mom she should call the landlords and tell them they need to get someone to remove it. Despite the fact it's our responsibility for snow removal (it's in the lease) I DOUBT it is up to us to remove it from the roof.

When I walked home from work an hour ago....again...huge piles UPON huge piles. More on the way. Epic once in a lifetime winter...rolls on. AS warm signals mute, mother nature finds ways to keep us rocking on. East based NAO...yep...we can do that with a fight from SE ridge...yep...we'll stay on the cold side. Savor every moment. I need to go the vet to get dog food (I spend more on my dog than my own food...) and I am walking in the neighborhoods to get there.....amazing scene...urban Boston...hasn't been a winter like this in a very long time.

I know what you mean.........I look out back and I can see what all this snow has done.

Collapsed roofs are nothing. Why, I used to have a 30,000 gallon pool with a diving board and a 2 foot retaining wall and flowerbed, all surrounded by a 5 1/2 foot high 3 rail fence.

Now the 3 rail fence has become a 1 rail fence in many places and is no more than 2 feet high!

And the pool itself has vanished totally, leaving just a little dimple where it once was.....

The retaining wall and diving board have also been utterly expunged from the landscape.

Now THATS property damage!

BTW there was a 6" report from Duxbury in the earlier PNS. I buy it. I was up near there at exit 6-7 when it was .2 miles vis in heavy snow. I was actually just a few miles WSW.

Pine Hills had 3.5" about 10 miles from me I think. 10 miles on the other side Duxbury had more...very banded as you all saw on the radar.
