LOL....if you're looking for a big storm, this just isn't the place to live. If you like snow on the ground it's great...and clippers and light overrunning events make it snow regularly. But at some point, 2003, 96 and 93 pail in comparison to how often the coast and even south of us have been getting 12-18"+ storms.

wanna lil cheese

Perhaps, though there are a lot of red taggers who are very excited about the potential for this...and to your point specifically, there are some that think it will end up too far west, not whiffing you to the east again, so all options would still be on the table.

Well, the Euro has been "ok" here for a few runs, and the nam has been a little warm imo. The Canadian has come around to the northward moving coastal idea:

As far as next week. I dont know at this point. The nao is forecast to be slightly negative, but so is the PNA. In fact, more negative than the nao. And the epo is forecast to be positive. To me, it seems to argue for se ridging, but how strong that ridge will be is the big question.

Sauss...how was that whining? I enjoy the repeated snows we get here. It is just FACT we don't get the blockbusters...like Potter said it's climatology. You guys made out extraordinarily well last year...we did alright and I won't complain. We nearly reached our average from 3-6" type events. Whatever makes it snow.

because it almost sounds like a broken record..

That's what I was thinking too...people that are afraid this whiffs east might/should be more concerned about getting rained on.

I think were still dry, so though i would prefer snow, i'll take the rain.

HAVE WE BEEN RELOCATED???

I see South Central PA now included in a new Philadelphia regional thread.

Edit: This thread hasn't moved but looks like we're being split off from the northern central PA folks.

No more PSUHazelton, pottercounty, etc.

GL to you'all northerners. It's been real guys!

I'm really confused...

From what I gather, they just created a new Philadelphia Regional thread which separated Philly from NYC. They're now going to include south central PA in the Philly region. So instead of our thread being in Upstate PA/NY region, I assume we'll have a new thread called "Central PA" inside the Philadelphia Regional thread instead.

Same group, same basic thread, just relocated to a different region. PSUHazelton even lobbied to stay with us and was granted permission.

:( per Philly Thread:

Your forum is in the process of being split. THIS forum will become the NYC Metro forum to include NYC Metro, SW CT, Northern NJ.

A new forum has been created and it will be the PHL metro region This includes PHL metro, Central and Southern NJ, Northern DE and South Central and SE PA. Of course there will be some boundary spillovers. If you live in a questionable area, post where you feel comfortable.

Some relevant recent threads will be moved to the PHL forum.

Looks like we need to start sharing with the Philly folks.

Why would they do that for, doesn't make much sense? I don't know what I did to you but there is no reason to call out people and troll the board. Hopefully you guys stick around, this thread has been good.

Definitely wasn't you dude. The Philly / NYC guys have been lobbying for a split for some time now. We just got grouped in by location.

I'm trying to find out if we can just keep our thread intact but moved to the Philly region. That way we meet the geographical rules but retain our own unique thread.

Ok good, I was going to say, I know I was complaining but at least it was a realistic point of view. Well it does make sense on a geographic point of view, especially with overall winter snowfall numbers, that area fits in climatologically with Philly. Hopefully the thread doesn't die, we have had some good discussions in here and hopefully it continues, good luck to you guys, hopefully everything goes over smoothly :snowman:

I agree we can't be split up.....

Hell no we won't go, hell no, we won't go, hell no we won't go, hell no, we won't go

Why does this feel so uncomfortable? Is this thread going to disappear altogether, stay where it's at, be kept intact but moved into the bigger Philly sub forum?

Somebody please make this clear to us all....

No your right, and I'm really not a huge complainer, just been frustrated lately over everything and not getting snow events makes it worse, but it's cool, no big deal. Plus its my own fauly, I live in an area that isn't climitologically favorable for huge snowstorms. Trust me I completely understand where your coming from, becuase my friend is the same way in golf. I guess I should stop having such high standards in weather, well I guess in life in general. I don't want to be that person that makes the weather boarders a pain in the a** so I apologize for that, I didn't mean to come across as "that guy"

No biggie....I just hate to see anyone get really upset.

Here's hoping for a big one at some point thumbsupsmileyanim.gifSnowman.gif
