It's obvious that northern and western IL are going to get a boatload of snow. I am, however, right along the line between the heavy snow and sleet/ice. Given what all of you know (which is much more than me), what is your prediction for Macon County, in central Illinois (between Spfld and Champaign)? To me it looks like we're getting mostly sleet/ice, but they keep saying we're going to get 8-12 inches of snow. Thoughts?

Definitely interested in this as well, as my parents live in the booming metropolis of Oreana, a suburb of the booming metropolis of Decatur, lol. They have heard ice storm and blizzard, got them worried quite a bit as they got pummeled by an ice storm in 2006.

IND still riding LAF for mainly snow.. Up to 12" possible..:weight_lift:

Eh, can't see that unless the sleet really over-performs. :guitar:

Real battle here right now between sn and pl. I'm a little surprised we're seeing flakes mixed in to be honest...

EDIT: Looks to be 50/50 at the moment.

Hope you can stay mostly snow manSnowman.gif.. Sleet is the worst precip type there is.. Nothing cool about it.. Doesn't look cool like ice/snow and hurts like hell when it falls...
