Stevo6899
Could help but notice the RGEM dry slot for SEMI either. wow this area is a dry slot magnet! Lets be honest while it has a wrapped up solution, anything from the canadian cant be trusted IMO. Euro has been by far the most consistent if we get dry slotted on it then I will believe it. KokomoWX
Anyone want to be a LEO on the roads during this storm? This is from Randolph County, Indiana. An album is here.

baroclinic_instability
LOL if you want a good laugh--the RSM may be the only model right regarding the QPF explosion over TX right now as well as the surface pressure. http://www.meteo.psu.edu/~gadomski/RSMCENT_0z/rsmloop.html
cyclone77
Very heavy snow ripping from the QC to Chicago and even LAF tomorrow evening..
Chicago WX
Shhhhhhhhhhh... I really think LAF has a 80% chance of getting 6"+ of something. Well, I hope you get the snow.. Because if you don't then more than likely means I will get the boobie prize "rain that freezes on contact". Temp up to 27 here now. Hope you guys are right. And I hope you make out as well Mottster (with the ice). Good luck my friend.
baroclinic_instability
This is a sickening obsession I am staying for the euro and to watch things unfold and I am looking at an inch at best Because you like weather! Weather is always cool. I am not getting squat from this storm--but I will track it and learn from it.
Toronto4
Final call imby 8-14". for fun: DTW: 8-14" (thinking the dryslot plays havoc) ORD: 16-22" MKE: 10-18" I agree with your call for Toronto.
OHSnow
I'm in Toledo. Starting to snow pretty heavily now; quite brisk too. The temperature is about 13F.
baroclinic_instability
NCEP models are now in full fail mode. That region of precipitation is exploding and tracking well into southern KS already.
SEMIweather
Radar lighting up like a Christmas tree down here...I will certainly continue to post pics and video as the storm goes on.

Moneyman
Baro, I am guessing that would lead to a stronger, farther NW track then?
snowstormcanuck
I agree with your call for Toronto. It was the same as my prelim call. Lowered to 8-12/6-10 but the elevated instability in the DGZ showing up on BUFKIT makes me believe we could have a 3-5 hour of TSSN/2" per hour rates late tuesday night into Wed morning. Model QPF charts aren't going to pick that up.

baroclinic_instability
Baro, I am guessing that would lead to a stronger, farther NW track then? Yes. I truly believe the NCEP models had massive feedback errors. The RGEM/GGEM/UK/RUC are having no such issues and match with the rapid development we are currently seeing. mempho
This is a sickening obsession I am staying for the euro and to watch things unfold and I am looking at an inch at best LOL....I'm 90 miles southeast of the consensus track and I'm watching it. This is an amazing storm and I'm looking at absolutely nothing....no snow, no zr, no severe, nada...the ultimate screw zone. However, I'm watching it because it's hard to take your eyes off of weather like this taking place anywhere. Granted, it is sickening in a way that we can't seem to get a big storm year-in and year-out. But...when you love weather, what are you gonna do? B-Rent
Hope you guys are right. And I hope you make out as well Mottster (with the ice). Good luck my friend. Anderson over to Muncie have consistently been in the sleet tonight. We got about .10" freezing rain at onset, now up to around 1" give or take of sleet on the ground.
