It's been all snow here thankfully...it was probably like you said with the rimmed flakes...I had that here as well...it sounds like sleet but it really isn't.

I guarantee you he was driving in his car on the Mansfield/Tolland line in far south part of town and had some rimage off his windshield and reported it as sleet.

wtf! this is going to be a serious serious problem

Yeah this is already the third report today...in the BOX area at least...with more to go with this storm and another storm this weekend (no matter what precip type really) this problem is going to continue to worsen for the folks who don't take care of it. Coming home from work earlier and looking at people's roof tops many have not done a thing.

Looks like a mix occurring here. Sleet/Sn

Been back and forth between mostly snow and mostly sleet for the past hour or so. Mostly sleet now, but 15 minutes ago it was ripping flakes.

wait wait, while I'm typing it's transitioning back to flakes.

Just a big bag of WTF falling from the sky all afternoon

I'm really impressed without steady and consistent the snow has fallen since about 830 this morning, really light and powdery snow too.

P.S My mom is down in Kingston while my dad is away on business, can Messenger or anyone tell me how it looks down there for icing?

WTH?

Wednesday...Snow...sleet and freezing rain. Total snow accumulation of 12

to 16 inches. Ice accumulation of up to a tenth of an inch. Highs in the lower

30s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent.

5 minutes ago it said 3-5....:lmao:

Note the word "Total" has been added; I imagine this means "storm total."

I live about five minutes from the Natick exit on the Pike, so it seems I'll be right at ground zero of the Sleet/Snow skirmish line tomorrow. Happy to give detailed reports in the OBS thread as needed. It's been snowing steadily at a moderate to heavy pace all day; I think we were forecast in the 4-8 inch range for this part of the storm, and it's going to bust high.
