interior SW CT. Coastal areas are all garden variety winter weather advisories.

Assuming the NAM and GFS are too aggressive with the surface warming, I could see Middletown getting into significant icing though, OKX put them under WWA for now. Same goes for the northern parts of some of the shoreline towns...Guilford, Branford...there are parts in those towns that are a good 10 miles away from the shoreline...they could have some problems as well.

Channel 5 Futurecast has me mixing about 4pm...only off by 4 hours.

That's my fear for Wednesday.

It's 99% sleet and rain now, just a few flakes left. The change was very quick and took under 5 minutes.

You guys beat the spread today and lucked out. I was a wee bit too far south and was on the southern fringe of the heavier precip and battled sleet the entire event...and I barely had an inch.

It's kind of amazing that it doesn't matter what type of event it is, the pattern repeats. Two things helped us, we got that .5" burst before 715am and then it was a steady 3 or 3.5" over the next 5 hours.

OT but what a shame last night on Rte 95 with that guys car jumping the guard rail because of snow. Hopefully the snow plow operators doing that bridge have a good insurance policy....

Yeah this is nice. 5.2" here, .6 last half hour. At this point I'll be fine with only 4-5" tommorow, considering we may approach 8" today with still 2-3 hours of at least mod snow.

Tomorrow is a tough forecast...I could see getting a quick 8-9" or only getting 3" and then sleet. It will likelybe snowing 1-2" per hour when the flip occurs...so that is why a couple to 3 hours could be so crucial.

I feel for you on Wednesday, that's going to be a brutal forecast to make unless guidance really becomes clearer one way or the other.
