Clinch Leatherwood
Snow has lightened up considerably here now. It's snowing really hard here, accumulating very rapidly. More than I thought, will measure about 12 when I think it's winding down/changing.

Baroclinic Zone
You are one of the few on the rain train for Saturday..Most others think snow Without any blocking the only thing preventing this weekend from being mostly wet would be a fast progressive moving storm. hammerz_nailz
You got shafted somewhat today..Haven't you been in any of the heavier snow? Kevin ....I grew up in the tug hill region of NY. I think we define heavy snow differently It was moderate here for a bit just poor snow growth.

free_man
As we have been thinking for days without wavering, the sn/zr/ip line would fluctuate near the pike or rt 2 and this would not be an all snow event all the way to NYC/LI as some wishcasted for. DomNH
Snowgrowth seems very heavily dependent on precip intensity today. S+ has giant dendrites, anything else is meh.

TheSnowman
I am killing it here right now at least. 4". But I get heavily weenie tagged by like 5 people, and then the GFS comes in as a Far worse Disaster than the NAM. And I was just complaining about the NAM. Clinch Leatherwood
Good think I never bought into the foolish 20" talk. 12-18" it is. It's funny how our sentiments are the same but for totally different areas. I'm content with the 3-6" that appears will fall in total. I'd hoped for 7 yesterday total, hoping for 5 now, around 3 now I think. That's when forecasts were widely 5-10 (channel 7), 9" or so on the snow graphic etc. Snow graphic is 7.2" here now FWIW. Up near you, you've had the same conservative sentiments...in the end we'll both be satisified with what falls. That last heavy burst could dump 1-2" here and make this a good little Cape snow.
