Mr. Windcredible!
Sorry for the IMBY question but what are your thoughts on tomorrow's ice? haven't look terribly close honestly. My gut says if you are within 5-10 miles of the shoreline, icing will be less than 0.25" before going to plain rain. But I haven't been around these parts long enough to know climatology on these types of setups. Figured I'd lean towards Ryan's expertise on this. Jonathan are you over to sleet in Seymour? Ryan, thoughts on how far inland the surface freezing line makes it tomorrow?
Clinch Leatherwood
Precip type dependent on intensity. It's snowing hard enough here that the fog horns are going off at the canal. Back to under 1/4.
WinterLand
We should be 70-75" for the season after this storm is gone tomorrow. If we get a few inches on Saturday before a likely change to rain, then we might be approaching 80" for the season! Amazing winter... BTW, snowing heavy with big flakes now. Yeah...just took a look at the latest SREF's...got the freezing line practically to HFD. Likely overdone...but bodes well for avoiding significant icing along the shoreline. radiator
24 F here. Seems to be a mix of sleet and more liquid stuff. Hoping I don't need to break out the generator later on... Outages reported so far by CL&P and UI are few.

CT Rain
Just went outside to check. I'm at 4.5" now Thanks. Looks like a small sliver of the state along the border will get 7" or 8" of snow out of round 1. Probably can tack on 2-4" tomorrow AM as well. subdude
Agreed. I think the superintendents are feeling some pressure to limit snow days... My ride back home will be fun. Can I use the bathroom at your house when I slog through Westminster up Rte 2? Our busses will be here starting at 10:30 if they can make it up the hill. Looks like 3" on the ground already (checked from a coworker's window) lol do you take S. Street to get back into Hubb?
