CT Rain
Some of the towns have unrealistic snow budgets. I know this is an unusual year and the state of the economy certainly doesn't help, but some of the smaller towns in the state need to get with the times. It's not a snow budget issue. They always budget low and go over.... they're used to it. I don't think it's wise to invest in equipment to prepare you for 70" of snow in 30 days that doesn't melt when your seasonal average is 35". Back on topic... sleet racing north as is the back edge of the good stuff. I think we may wind up with 4" or 5" here which is certainly solid from round 1! CT Rain
4-8'' was the realistic call for this deal. I had 3"-6" with a little less at the shore and a little more on the Mass border.
weatherwiz
Looks a tad warm at the sfc...not really sure if I'll buy that but this looks like a ZR sounding
NB-Weather
looks like I'm on par with the other shoreline dwellers...pinging started around 7:30 after about 0.5" of snow. Had flakes mixed for awhile, but pretty much all sleet here for the past 30 min. Sounds like fzra already working its way into SW CT? Just what I wanted to avoid...could care less about the sleet, would prefer to avoid significant icing. Wow really? We have yet to have any pingers here. Then again i've only been up for an hour sooooo lol..
Not me in VT
Same thing here in madison. Phone has not stopped ringing for generators. Do you think were gonna get more freezing rain in currently forecasted? Well off to wire another generator.

DomNH
I had 3"-6" with a little less at the shore and a little more on the Mass border. I think I end up with about 6'' here. Maybe a hair more just to the south.

weatherMA
Sn/Sn+ continues, good ratio stuff, solid 1" an hour snow. Up to 2.6", .6 last half hour.
HoarfrostHubb
Northern SNE...I haven't heard that one But you really need to change your screen name... (it has nothing to do with the Mets or mets...just past bad juju) Dom lives on the coastal plain surrounded by strip malls, so there is nothing resembling northern anything there... radarman
Been browsing various nexrad sites in the plains and mississippi valley.... Amazing stuff. Single digits and snowing in SW OK. Tulsa NE to MO has a huge swath of snow. Squall line with TORs extending from Shreveport well into the gulf. Crazy amounts of rain in Arkansas and MS. Will said it a few times and I agree. BIG battle about to unfold.

Sey-Mour Snow
and shes all done folks... northern new haven county 90% sleet been sleeting for an hour.. 3" total accumulation.. forecast right on track for me at least.. why the nws raised totals in upton and lowered the ice forecast is beyond me
Mr. Windcredible!
Wow really? We have yet to have any pingers here. Then again i've only been up for an hour sooooo lol.. How much snow do you have? And how far from the shoreline are you? I suppose I should clarify though...at home in Clinton it was a snow/sleet mix about 4 miles inland. It transitioned to all sleet as I got close to the office in Essex, where I'm <1 miles from the river. Suppose there could still be a mix back home.
