DomNH
The only negative I see is the slowness to load the NWS radar sites. But that's to be expected with a storm of this magnitude.

powderfreak
--SN just started at Stowe at 1,500ft. Watched the ceiling lower all morning, ridgeline at 4,000ft is turning that murky white from light snow reducing visibility. I love this time of the storm where its snowing a steady light snow at the top of the chairlifts at 3,600ft, but only flurries down over 2,000ft lower here at the base as the dry lower levels work to evaporate the snow. The beauty of being at the mountain is you get to experience whats going on in the entire SFC to almost H85 level... its like experiencing a sounding. I doubt snow has made it down to the village at 800ft yet.

DomNH
Intensity ramps up pretty quickly once you moisten. Won't get the nice dendrites until we start getting the good echoes a little later, but a nice steady light snow now.
DomNH
What did the Euro show last night? Big time ramp up in QPF...looked like we get almost 1.5''. EDIT: Err, EEN/ASH gets almost 1.5''. Plymouth a bit less.

DomNH
Snowgrowth actually seems pretty decent up here. Not perfect dendrites, but not sugar flakes either.
wxmanmitch
About 3" of new snow. Coming down light to moderate now as we have some lighter echoes ATM. Had a real heavy burst about 30 minutes ago where we were probably about 1/4 mile. Snow growth pretty good for a SWFE as mid-levels are still quite cold. A bit concerned by the 06Z NAM coming in real sleety around here as it absolutely torches the mid-levels by 15Z tomorrow. We'll see what 12Z holds.
