HoarfrostHubb
Looks like they're doing closures in the south--wimps. In the districts up here (Pete, here, Chris), they're having early dismissals. I wonder what time that is..... Light snow cotninues. Just got my early dismissal at 5:25 That will be an interesting commute west along Rte 2, going from 250' ASL to 1000' ASL in the thick of it... HoarfrostHubb
BOX p-n-c has me at 5-9. 1-3, 5-9 plus showers... Should be fun to measure
moneypitmike
The p-type algorithm for a lot of the 3z SREF members are getting the sleet line very far north, but I think it may be overdone. Well that would suck. ALY's new warning to my neighboring zones to the west and to the north (and including the CD) is still at 12-24", a notch higher than what BOX is giving. Looks like the weekend system will be on the modest side regardless of p-type, yes?
Damage In Tolland
10z RUC going crazy later today in these exact areas. I think we'll see some 10 inch amounts around today..fluff factor is high. Temp down to 14.9 borderline moderate snow

I mentioned that to my friend last night when he called for the update. He's not happy about the snow and his quite was: "Eat sh*t and die". I pointed out that regardless of whether or not I like it, I have no influence (let's maintain that illusion...).
moneypitmike
What's worse than virga is an empty radar--what's going on with NYC? Looks like they're dry and the radar's not looking promising for a while as it's riding to their ne rather than e..
dan11295
At this point I think it is clear that tomorrow is really going to be a nowcast deal. Could bust either direction, althought the current trend is for a tad for sleet farther north into MA atm.

weathafella
How much precip on the weekend one? Mostly rain I'm guessing? Thankfully light. And yes.....wet ..although mix north of you into more central locations. Plenty of snow ahead of that system now today and tomorrow. We can worry about Saturday later but I bet it trends colder. Hopefully there's some cold left by week's end.

Oh--I wasn't questoining mby. It was more a comment to the fact that NY/NJ have warning and it looks like the precip is going to (mostly) pass them by today. In which case p-type question cancel.
