weatherbo
LOT update: A QUICK LOOK AT THE NEW 00Z RUN OF THE NAM SHOWS NO REAL SURPRISES AND CONTINUES TO BE SLIGHTLY EAST OF THE EARLIER GFS/ECMWF/SREF RUNS. BUT EVEN THIS SLIGHTLY MORE EASTERLY TRACK WOULD ONLY SHIFT THE SWATH OF HEAVIEST SNOW SLIGHTLY SOUTH...AND THE ENTIRE AREA WOULD STILL SEE TOTAL SNOWFALL IN EXCESS IN EXCESS OF 1 FOOT WITH A SWATH OF SNOW IN EXCESS OF 20 INCHES...INCLUDING 20+ INCHES OVER DOWNTOWN CHICAGO AND THE NEARBY LAKEFRONT LOCATIONS. If it's such junk, why bother lending it credit with an 'update"? Fat flakes here blowin' around a lot.
Hoosier
Sleet be our destiny. But yes, it's loud. Models collapse the 850 mb 0C a bit tonight before it comes back north tomorrow night. You get the feeling that sleet is going to be a big issue though. So close either way.

iowahawkeyedave
Yeah looks like DT <3 the NAM, and also can't spell owner right. His Facebook says hes the onwer of wxrisk.com. Hoping the NAM is wrong because if it isn't then doesn't look like a whole ton of snow here in Iowa City. Although, for this storm being of this magnitude, seems like a ton is all relative. natecast
HRRR dumping 10-20" of snow across OKC metro in its' latest run. I know this is an obvious statement, but if that happens, the city will be crippled.
