Chicago Storm
To my trained eye--this storm is going to be AMPED and likely a tick W. I expect 0Z guidance to show these trends.
Chicago WX
Heavy sleet west of Indy. Going to be really hard to sleep with all that noise but its better than freezing rain. One of the rare times you welcome sleet. Normally she's a b****.
LizardMafia
Looks like IND is starting to ice up.. per latest blog post from NWS IND.. 8:30 PM...The parking lot at the office is slick, our American Flag is frozen, and cars are hard to open due to ice. So far at the Airport, 0.38 inches of precipitation has fallen.

AppsRunner
This being on the fringe here is really getting to me... although WAA precip. should be fine? Any thoughts on how much mixing/ice would occur around here?
PresbyWX
For the MO crowd, KLSX Disco Snippet(703 PM CT): ICE ACCUMULATIONS THUS FAR AVERAGING AROUND A TENTH OF AN INCH AND UP TO ONE-QUARTER. ANXIOUSLY AWAITING THE 00Z NAM. EACH NEW MODEL RUN IS A TAD COLDER FOR TUESDAY. 18Z NAM WOULD SUGGEST CONSIDERABLY MORE SNOW FOR ST LOUIS METRO AND A SLIGHT SOUTHWARD SHIFT IN THE HEAVY SNOW AXIS. Indystorm
I65, I70, and I69 are all closed at certain areas around Indianapolis Metro. I live 20 minutes NE of Indy and I can't believe this is actually happening. With the main event still to come I'm getting a little worried about the overall storm impact. Indy and surrounding area is not a good place to be right now. Did not expect this would happen so soon....especially from the first wave precip. Going to be disastrous for sure. baroclinic_instability
NAM mostly looks the same through 6 hours--but it has a much stronger high in MT and the thermal fields are colder and more N-S oriented in the low levels near the low. It also has a much stronger gradient/winds in the plains.
