Mr Torchey
Nutmeg answered it, my employer, just got this. here at work setting up for expected closure Wed, we are closed Today and Tuesday anyway. Lots of nervous EM's with the ice threat down here, had a conference call. Not good, hoping this trends 50 miles south for the sake of people down here. Amen Steve. nutmegfriar
Yes, would want to see the solution be about 30-50 miles south of the 12z. Looks like it comes off the coast about midway or just under midway up the Jersey Shore...we want that south for your area and mine. Just off the SE shore of Jersey would be perfect. Ok. Thanks. I'm a bit shocked at the amount of ice currently forecasted for the CT shore. Very alarming.
moneypitmike
My guess is warnings with an 11:00a.m. update, perhaps 1:00. Don't think they wait until later. Thoughts?
Ian
That's gonna set some folks off......LOL Personally, I agree.......this is the Revenge of the Weenie Year, and Kev is golden.... it's snowed at almost every opp the last 5-6 weeks. i could guess you'd get snow without even knowing a storm is coming. SJonesWX
over under is 12 inches for this storm. If it exceeds 12" then I'm satisfied with the storm. i will take the over on that.
ORH_wxman
GFS is more like 3-6" for the appetizer rather than the ridiculous 8-10" the NAM was showing.

I FULLY agree about needing another 50 miles. As currently forecasted, I think we can expect the Fire Departments in the region (especially Norwich) to be very, very busy over the next few days. I don't think we're ready for snow then ice then some rain.

GFS is also more wet compared to 00z last night which is good for us.. i think a solid 3-6" area wide.. with someone in the hills of Northern CT and Mass getting maybe 7 or 8.. Wow and thats before the Main event.. I think freezing drizzle will be likely in between events for most to make things even worse..

Mr. Windcredible!
not really liking the trends down here...I'd rather have plain rain than fzra. Prolonged power outages are something that do not interest me.
