DaculaWeather
This heavy stuff seems to keep building behind the first line. It looks like rain for us for most of the night at this rate. It's just not advancing east very quickly and we're getting some training. Go rain go! We need it!
Itunis
This heavy stuff seems to keep building behind the first line. It looks like rain for us for most of the night at this rate. It's just not advancing east very quickly and we're getting some training. Go rain go! We need it! Yeah, we've had some really good rain over the past two hours or so. Not a single clap of thunder though...MBY has been doing well in the rain department this year compared to the rest of the SE but severe wx has been nonexistent. 59 here after a high of 64. Lookout
Decent storm going on, just had a gust to 37 mph. Still haven't gotten anything here. Watching a storm with a tornado warning southwest of athens but I think it's going to go just west of here if it keeps it's current course. But it will be interesting to see if it holds together because it's generally moving toward athens. Only picked up 0.50 so far with this system. After sitting here all day watching this area of rain/storms to the west and barely moving, it looks like it's finally going to get here in the next hour. Hopefully I can catch up to everyone else to the west who have gotten some good rains so far.

Definitely a nice event. 2.13 (storm total) after looking at the radar it looks like a fair amount more rain is on the way. It's also nice that this one didn't flop at the last min

Itunis
Definitely. 2.13 (storm total) after looking at the radar it looks like a fair amount more rain is on the way Yeah, this has been a great event IMBY. Just a steady soaking rain. Interesting to see FFC mention Big Creek in their hydrology section of the AFD...one if its tributaries flows behind my house and is pretty high. Not that I'm expecting any flooding-the creek IMBY is in a deep depression with a good 20ft vertical rise from it to my house. It just shows how well we've done so far. AROUND 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN SO FAR IN THE EXTREME NORTHERN COUNTIES OF GA. MOST CREEKS HAVE HAD SIGNIFICANT RISES, BUT NO FLOODING IS EXPECTED TO OCCUR. A FEW MAY REACH BANKFULL BEFORE FALLING THIS EVENING. BIG CREEK NEAR ALPHARETTA WILL BE MONITORED FOR ADDITIONAL RISES AS WELL SINCE AROUND 1.5 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN ACROSS THAT BASIN. dwagner88
Backside of this thing is really filling in now. I might make close to 5 inches before all is said and done. I'm at 3.60 storm total and another heavy band is setting up to the west.
Lookout
Definitely a nice event. 2.13 (storm total) after looking at the radar it looks like a fair amount more rain is on the way. It's also nice that this one didn't flop at the last min I'm certainly jealous. I'm hoping that these strong storms are going to train over me for a little while. Could pick up quite a bit in a short period of time. But man, looks like you guys are going to get hammered for quite a while longer. Looks like you have a decent shot of 4 to 5 inches. Certainly would expect a minimum of 3 to 4.

dsaur
Lots more to go... I'm at 1.73" today and 2.71" overall since yesterday. Nice event. I had a few rumbles of thunder, several streaks of lightening and then gentle rain. Not much to the show, but I'm up to 1 1/2 inches now, so I'm content enough....and it isn't running off all the grass seed I put down to stop the run off. By the way, Dawson, I really like your radar. That is pretty much all I'm using now! The real test will come, however, when I see how well it does giving me heavy sleet Tony
