FInd me an analog storm that moves DUE east from ARK--and off the SC coast.

Taken as is--that's a decent snow for VA--major ice for NC after some snow. Is there hour 192 for the 12z run?

the 5h looks similar to Feb 04, and Jan 88 with the southern progressive system, atleast on the Euro.

No. Looks like out to sea to me- not a complete phase. A long way to go here- the Euro comes in soon....

Again, from another poster in another thread:

"hr 120, 1016 low over knoxville ten, lgt precip ten valley into ohio valley, lgt to mod precip over sw va, eastern ten, western nc, sub 996 low just north of maine retrograding"

yes thats the clipper system, now to see if the s/w can eject out of the SW and not just sit there.

up to 4.84 heard they were letting transylvania county schools out early. the rain has eased a little but i wonder how much it will pick up when the main line comes through?

Does your gauge report to the AWFS? They seem very similar in reporting total and associated time. Quoting Dumb and Dumber (to an extent) " Perhaps its a conspiracy that they [have] more than one [gauge] in the same location". If you dont find the joke funny then dont worry most dont; my humor only entertains some folks, unfortunately my gf is not one of those folks.

I'm suprised to have as much as I do, but the GFS insisted that some decent totals would be here by morning. This map is a little underdone, I'm at .45" overnight. Still lightly raining

Robert...in an effort to make you feel better about things...here at 1:30, waiting on the squall line, I'm still at .6. Same as last night. Every dry slot has found me. So..see...you ain't doing so bad :)

70 here, sun is out, and the line is just a county or so away. I expect it will pop!! Tony

We've got sheets of rain here at work in Smyrna. I'm disappointed in the lack of lightning. I haven't heard a single clap of thunder.

Oddly, I had a single very loud thunderclap last night with the first round of rain, but so far today it's been nothing but on and off heavy downpours. No thunder.

We're looking at a week. I get the test version tonight and should be able to "play" with it tomorrow to work out the bugs. Unfortunately we have been several days out from launching for two weeks now. Busy schedules, holidays, and coding issues always slow things down. Thanks for asking BTW!
