Noreaster07
Anyone else notice there seems to be a serious lack of the seriousness of the situation in Berks and Lehigh, most of the people I know are just expecting an event like this morning. I work for First Energy Corp and today they were debating whether they should enact their emergency program for call center employees in case of downed lines (putting employees in hotels near by, setting up pick up schedules and increased staff coverage) and they basically sluffed it off. Again expecting an event like this morning. I don't know if its that we are too far away from the major media market like Philly where the impact should be much less. But its just something I found very disturbing tonight as I'm letting people know.
Thunder Road
temp rose 0.5° in ~10 mins to 27.0° and has since leveled off again. the NAM will not bust 1.5° too low at 3z. it also had temps rising after 3z. But the RUC has them falling. With a wind out of the ENE, I would assume they hold steady or fall slightly until precip begins to fall?

Some people were nonchalant, many were buying icemelt and other such supplies. I hope the authorities do take this seriously, because any delay in infrastructure and personnel will result in lots of loss of productivity for businesses and extended school cancellations for lack of power etc.

I've been holding steady the past 90 minutes. Precip. about to move, maybe temps. hold steady or fall a touch, then a gradual slow climb occurs in temps. overnight. For what its worth the 12z NAM had me at 26 between 0-3z and its right on target. It had PTW going above freezing between 13z-14z. I could see that being the case. Only time will tell. Yes_Probably_Maybe_No
26.0F HRRR/RR keeping that fr. rain line near our neck of the woods, even for the heaviest precip. As a met said previously (I forget which), that heaviest precip will likely fall as rain due to thermodynamic processes, but a lot the lighter stuff may actually accrete as ice. We'll see how it goes...
