yeah, the thing is there is a big difference between freezing rain at 31 degrees and at 24 degrees. i know i am not the first one to mention this, but if the precip is heavy enough, you get a fair amount of runoff, especially when you are sitting close to freezing. how for the places where it is 25 or less....

I'm feeling somewhat okay here in King of Prussia, but that line of doom isn't all that far to the north. Plus, our breeze is out of the NE, so that may be an ominous sign.

The only problem that really is the fact some ever-greens have snow on them, so that wll absorb some of the freezing ran at first and slightly dislodge the snow a bit towards the tips and might help act as a damn to have the ice accrue more onto the needles and bark and sticks and branches so it might be a bigger issue then some expect even with it coming down heavy enough, but it might spare the roadways, but the trees are the problems for sure.
