under that fat band of 30+ DbZ's, I'm getting a mixture of snow grains, light snowflakes, and mega-flakes. the columns saturating nicely down to the ground, allowing the bigger flakes. Maybe I can get a nice burst of big heavy flakes befoer the sleet/zr-fest tomorrow :)

Besides the fact that it's nowcasting time, at least for part one of the storm today, which model lends more credence, the 6z GFS or NAM? Per the TwisterData soundings, the GFS warms my doorstep to 33 degrees at the surface sometime tomorrow morning around roughly 7:00AM, while the NAM never gets the surface over freezing at all.

TEMPERATURES BELOW THE FREEZING MARK WILL ENSURE THAT THE FREEZING

That finger of precip hanging back through the Lehigh Valley is giving us moderate snow right now.
The Lehigh Valley Redemption Band. Training echoes FTW.  Temp here down to 18. All area schools closed today.  I imagine they're taking the threat of freezing drizzle all day seriously.  I'm also sure, in everyone's minds, tomorrow is a done deal as well.
