Noreaster07
Thanks so much appreciate it, wish there was one for Lancaster. Thanks another option would be to go to the accumulated precip map http://coolwx.com/cgi-bin/getptype.cgi?region=ne&model=nam&run=18&fhr=29&field=acctype pick model and run on the left and what evere hour you want it to to below image, GFS goes out to 120 NAM 84 hrs
gakmsg
We had so many ice storms that winter. I believe you are describing the storm about 10 days later Jan 17 1994. Heavier precip but less tree and powerline damage think you are right.... Light snow here now.

RedSky
1994 I'l never forget those storms.... houses on our street are built into a gently sloping hill... woke up one night to a car alarm ... then another, and another... parked cars had slid from the driveways into the middle of the street and were lumped together. Never seen anything like it... the most interesting thing about the 1994 ice storms were the ice ruts on the roads. the ice was several inches deeps cause it was too cold to be melted so cars created the ice rut tracks you drove in and the roads were like that for several days. this only happened cause we had freezing rain with temperatures in the mid teens to low 20's, this wont be anything like that

LVblizzard
Through 24 the NAM is slightly weaker/farther east with the low in TN. Temps are a little colder over the region. No major changes though.

Still well below freezing by 09Z Wednesday.Just below the freezing mark and rising by 12Z Wednesday.

LocoAko
Jake whats ur feeling on this for our area? i respect ur opion... Hey thanks! I think we'll see 1-3" of snow and then probably around 1/3" of ice. I have been posting in the NYC that I don't see what people are seeing on the 00Z NAM. Our area is getting freezing rain all overnight and goes above freezing around 7 or 8AM tomorrow morning (again, according to the NAM). Between 00Z and 12Z Wednesady, 0.25-0.5" falls. BUFKIT will see this better. Not as bad as parts N&W of here but I still think we're in for a doozy of a commute Wednesday morning. We only have 0.25" a few weeks ago and that was bad enough... Sunny and Warm
RR 00z hrrr 00z RUC 01z Thanks much. Looks as if the short range models are backing off on the front end snow in favor of non-snow solid qpf in the LV and north. I guess that was to be expected, as 850's warm faster than modeled in a strong WAA regime.
