No, the depth was 30" after the blizz of '78 in Reading....I checked the COOP. Feb 1969 peaked at 40" and is the record.

Gene, remember that there was a torch betwn the Jan event and the Feb blizz in 1978.

Oh, no. I know that. I was specifically talking about here in Wilmington alone. Reading and Wilmington may be close in proximity to one and othe but I have seen differences in storms with accumulations. the DPW in North Wilmington have official records also for our town and represent the town more fully. It's a red Book that Dates back to the early 1940's. But for Reading I'mnot super familiar with.

Ok I'm thinking about your screen name. If you went to USC in the class of 1948 you're ancient. So I have to figure something else out. Maybe your name is Steve Carlson and you were born in 1948?

Forecast: :snowman:

I'll go with official COOP site.....if anything, Reading would have seen slightly more than us since that was a cold storm.

We need to get Bob Lautzenheiser in here - he's the former state climatologist and lives here in Reading.

Yes, there are often BIG differences. In VD07 I had pingers for hours while Ray taunted me with S+ OBS :devilsmiley:
