40/70 Benchmark
This event is a page right out of 1993-94...nothing in 2007 or 2008 was this prolific and two-pronged.
mahk_webstah
There's almost no spread now in C/N NH with the 850s so those members that pushed sleet to Berlin are gone. I kinda like the idea of getting in on better dendritic growth in the deformation versus getting a 10:1 slaughtering. Thats so much more fun...it just piles up fast. 1.5qpf in deform ratios is more than Jan 12. How's your roof and has your mom contacted that real estate agent? dendrite
The NAM is kicking the s/w out of the SW faster this run than 18z. It looks more like 12z through 36hr to me. Although the PV is putting up a bit of a fight too. Nice battle going on in the northeast.
DomNH
So it can melt right when the sun hits it? ASH generally needs all the help it get can .

You can see this on the 700RH fields on the SREFs.
weathafella
Tuesday PM commute will not be pretty... Weds even worse Jerry, what was the worst sleet event you witnessed in Boston? The only major sleet event I remember is the infamous VD07.
40/70 Benchmark
So it can melt right when the sun hits it? And blow off everything, limiting it's ability to transform the landscape.

I don't know about Jerry or myself what I've seen in sleet, but the biggest sleet storm recorded in Boston was I think in February of 1921 where 2" of crystal pebbles of came down. weathafella
I told you SREFs would validate 18Z and 0Z would mute it though come in colder vs 12Z. So far, I'm 1 for 1.

Well if you buy a souther colder solution it would seem reasonable. But as Brian says, ratios are just not about temps they are about temps in the different layers and something called omega....lol. I'm rooting for you
