Man, last two winters you have missed the storms and this storm appears no different. Sleet seems to be in your blood in the coal country.

Voyager
Man, last two winters you have missed the storms and this storm appears no different. Sleet seems to be in your blood in the coal country. It's a tough place to live weatherwise. We're too far west for the best of the coastals, too far east for lake effect snows, if we do get pure freezing rain, we seem to be one of the first to crack the 32 mark, and in the summer, storms track in from the west and northwest, only to die here and reform to our southeast. Grothar
We may have gone to ZR here as well...can't tell for sure. Radar is filling in over Ohio. I cannot overemphasize that RT 78, Rt 81, Rt2 22, Rt 61,Rt3 3 and even the turnpike stand a good chance of being shut down in the next 8 hours or so. The ice accrual will be faster than salt can melt the ice and sleet and vehicles cannot travel on just ice. This does include the accidents to come with the road conditions with trees and poles down in the roads. Emergency services will be tried in the morning. The real threat other than the power issue is that even if can get out, nothing will be open or you cannot get there because of the road conditions. Pohopoco
if this has been said before,I didn't backread...storm looks like it's gonna cut itself apart, drying on the N side and a dry slot meeting at the same area...also right now seems like a mix,but very light here...temp.up a few ticks to 21.4...
