RkTec
Power was restored to my area last night. Sun came out around 4 p.m. yesterday and really helped melt the ice off the power lines and trees. By dark the power lines were pretty much ice free and only a little bit of ice remained on the trees. Spent 6 hours scraping the ice off the driveway. Then at dusk it got covered again by ice chunks falling from the trees which instantly seemed to freeze onto the driveway. Also had a generator malfunction that caused a big power surge or something which fried a surge protector, heated blanket, and oil burner electrical control panel. So the fire company paid a visit. Also had to have a company come out for an emergency visit to repair the oil burner once power was restored. Yesterday was a disaster all around.
