I know one thing, there going to be tough again this year but they should w/ all that money there spending. My sister moved up there over twenty years ago and back in the 90's I lived with her some and went to a lot of games. My dad is from NY and is a huge mets fan. My mother in law is a huge braves fan. So baseball season is always fun.

MichaelJ
Not sure how you guys get excited for a sport where they play like 750 games a year. But, to each his own (and go Red Sox)

superjames1992
Well, folks, I'm off to Asheville now! Gonna get some skiing in on Saturday, so I'm guaranteed to see some deep (manmade) snow!

DaculaWeather
Been here a long time and haven't watched the Braves since they have Glavine, Maddox, and Smoltz. now the Falcons I watch! I started getting tired of baseball once my son got older and he quit playing too. I was President of our athletic association (twice) and spent most of my life (at the time) at the ball park. After about 6-8 years of that, you'll either be cured of baseball or a lifetime addict, not sure which!
DaculaWeather
I've tried and tried, but I still cannot read "Dacula, Georgia" without... ...popping into my head. LOL! You and many others. Some people still think is Dracula!

crossthread
so do most folks here think We'll get a *late* March type *SNOWSTORM*, After a good warm-up for casted, I've seen way to many time times in My 47 years, of a mid-march, Early April snow storm... Even here in Wilmington, AND especially Fay-nam.... What do the Mets think on this/?
jrips27
I'm looking forward to the upcoming Braves season. I think we have a decent shot to make the playoffs. But first on my list is March Madness! I always do the bracket contests then after that I focus on baseball
CarolinaCrusher2000
I say we have a better chance this year than most because of the level of cold air available this year and the pattern breaking down in early to mid February. If this break would have come around the last couple of days of February I would say there would be a much lower chance of cold and snow chances. If we don't get any more chances I'm not going to whine about it.

NavarreDon
Looks like the Cascades are trying to give the Sierras a run for thier money! Edit: well I see they have really lowered the snow totals but, I could live with this. Ya so I'm really really bored with our weather & I notice a winter storm watch for the WA Cascades. I start snooping around & come to Rainier. I bet I could cure my snow jonesing real quick up there! Check out the totals from Fri. night thru Mon. night. http://forecast.weat...n&FcstType=text
jrips27
We should have a massive SE bracket contest on yahoo or something I was considering doing that but I think we ought to just do a massive one in the main Sports Forum. We did a bowl mania group back in December and January and got about 15 entries. I think we could get 50+ brackets if we push hard.

Itunis
LOL! You and many others. Some people still think is Dracula! Maybe that's why it's pronounced dah-CU-la, to avoid confusion. It always bothered me that you couldn't just call the place DAH-cu-la, rolls off the tongue much more naturally.
