Around what time are the temps supposed to start dropping LOL It's thick pea soup fog here, the visibility would have been better with snow. :arrowhead:

Toms River just reached 52, and Belmar 45. Ironically, JFK dropped from 41 to 39 with pronounced wind shift to from east to se, which leads me to suspect that may have been the result of slight downward modification from colder SSTs of Jamaica Bay and nearby Atlantic. But I don't think that warmer air will reach points west or north of the south shore of Nassau County or western Suffolk.

This is really weird stuff-- I havent seen anything like this before. Are you looking at wunderground lol-- there's an area around 50 degrees on the central part of the north shore of suffolk county with everyone around them cooler.... the warm spot stretches from Dix Hills to Shoreham and before anyone asks, I highly doubt a dozen VP weather sensors all in the same general area and within a few tenths of a degree of each other are wrong. They all have S to SE winds too. Then you have Centerport, Bayville and Great Neck with NE winds and temps around 33 lol. The contrast between Centerport and Greenvale, which are only a few miles apart, is particularly interesting.

Front just passed Muttontown, my weatherstation temp jumped up to 43 and the winds went SE! Happened in a span of 20 min, from 34 to 43.

I'd love to see the shape of this warm front, it must have a lot of kinks in it. It's 49.6 right now in Dix Hills on a south wind lol. 51 now at Stony Brook. Still 33.6 at Bayville.

we are toasty here in the low/mid 40s with dense fog rolling in right off areas of snowpack, visib under a 1/4 mile easily in spots.

Youre lucky youre not in the places near 50 lol, those are the same places that had the supposed "cold bias" haha.

Looked like it was booking.....Seriously, that lightning scared the **** out of me.....I went outside for a minute and BOOM, I wasn't ready for that.

Me neither, this storm certainly had a lot of surprises in store for us. It seems to want to lightning and thunder this winter regardless of what kind of storm we're getting lol.
