Chicago WX
This damn NW trend has got to stop. I'll take SE for a thousand. Time to accept sleet into your life. Better than freezing rain IMHO.
RCNYILWX
You should post more. I'll definitely be posting more, and I'm working the Tuesday evening shift, so anyone in the area can post obs here that I can use. If it gets as bad as it looks it will, I'll probably be sleeping here Tuesday night and even though I'm scheduled to be off Weds, sticking around for extra help with data collection. jhamps10
I think the GFS is more on track than the NAM this time, I just think the nam might have been a bit TOO strong, which is why it was bringing the warm temps like that as far north as it did. With that said, this is still a storm that is VERY serious, and will likely cause a lot of power outages, and tree damage, and that's not even looking at the snow side of this storm. snowstormcanuck
Won't go quite as nuts with the QPF compared to the NAM, but that was to be expected.

snowstormcanuck
GFS capitulated. Brings the low into NYS rather than just north of the M/D line.
csnavywx
GFS capitulated. Brings the low into NYS rather than just north of the M/D line. Euro has had this AR/Bootheel track nailed for days. Definitely deserves some kudos for sniffing this thing out early. It did pretty darn well with the MSP blizzard in December that was like this storm too.
