Ozarkwx
Any of you folks feel like snapping some daytime photos? I at least want to see a picture of this snow, lol. So far we are "enjoying" a sleet/freezing rain mix. Not too excited about going outside right now, but I'd guess a little less than a quarter inch of ice on the trees and under a half inch of sleet. springfieldnewsnut
I'm ready for a solid switchover to snow in east Springfield. It keeps teasing me with some big fat flakes, and then it goes back to sleet again. Come on, snow! Edit: I think the transition just happened. jmt
Local Radio Station KIXQ in Joplin says they measured 10" on their parking lot. I have to wonder if that is a drift. I have about 7" on N. Blackcat Road in Joplin.

SEMIweather
There's no way of actually knowing how much fell but I'll take a stab at it and say 6" here in Norman. One estimated report from the north side of town said 2.5", not buying that for a second lol. It looks pretty epic out here. I took a bunch of pictures I'll post the best ones later. We both have a shot at 6" or even more if lucky. Worst case scenario, gotta like what this does for the drought. I've got a dozen woodland burn piles ready to rip once the winds die down after the storm.

SnowGoose69
I've confirmed the Tulsa snow records come from the NWS office and not the airport...as a result the 13.0 record might stand...they have 14.0 at the airport as of 9am and had 8.4 at the NWS at 8am...not sure they can get 4.7 more...it did snow heavily there the past hour so they might be at around 10.5 now

wierdo
Just saw a local storm report down around Owasso where drifts are already between 18-24". The drifts against my house here in Tulsa are well above that. Out in the street, it's a more reasonable 12-14" or so. It's hard to tell exactly. It's still snowing pretty heavily, although it's not whiteout-hard.
