natecast
sitll sleeting hard thats gonna reduce my foot of snow isnt it? I don't think so. The snow up there will continue later in the day than it does down here, and the NWS forecasted the changeover to occur later in Tulsa than OKC. So far, things have gone pretty much according to plan.
SEMIweather
sitll sleeting hard thats gonna reduce my foot of snow isnt it? As long as it changes over soon, you should still be okay. Let me pull up some TwisterData soundings for Jenks and check...

SEMIweather
Your sounding off of the 06z RUC goes only slightly above freezing in the warm tongue so I think you should probably start changing over soon.

SEMIweather
Many thanks were still in the timeframe for that foot ive never seen one out my window. Good luck with that, I hope you get what you're looking for. Even if you don't the drifting will still be incredible I'm sure. Personally I just want to see VSBY officially observed under 0.1 miles here.

bm84
here in skiatook, 30 mi n of tulsa, still about half snow half sleet. hoping the column will cool enough with the heavier returns coming up to make it all snow. So far the precip seems to be a lot more widespread in Oklahoma than what most of the models were showing. Sounds like the next 6 hrs or so will be the best shot of heavy snow for okc to tulsa. Some of the more experienced on here might know better though, like if it is supposed to keep filling in throughout the night and into tomorrow. edit: congrats semi

SEMIweather
Best way to describe Norman right now is 2/3rds snow and 1/3rd ice pellets. Here are two current images of Lindsey Street, the main road that bisects the OU campus.

Wx 24/7
Precip continues here as mainly sleet. Quite the impressive reflectivity showing up along the I-44 corridor. And a wider view of the precip shows the train of moisture continuing down into Texas. (I took a powernap between 12:30-1:30. I am feeling good now.) SEMIweather
All snow here in Norman now...on that note I'm gonna hold off on going outside until (a) it gets light enough to take decent pictures again or ( I see a potentially convective band about to hit me. Also I can tell accurate measurements are going to be futile, as the blowing snow is already crazy.
Wx 24/7
Totals have to be adding up significantly in Eastern Jasper County and Western Lawrence County (MO). Reflectivity there has been extremely high for quite a while now. Saw the 1" sleet report in Webb City from the NWS. I assume that is from you Doug?
