Probably wouldn't be hard to get these mixing down.

acorntree
Oh I know there is no way we could get 30 in. Just we hadn't got higher than 20 for any other run so far. But this one came in colder and completely took out the sleet and almost all the zr. I remember a couple of 17in snows around here. They were crippling. acorntree
Seems like the media is concentrating on the ice. 12-18 in of snow in this area can be devastating. Roof collapses, power outages and no way to get anywhere. At least in the bad ice storms we've had, the roads were for the most part clear and people could evacuate to somewhere with power. My husband is the manager for the Webster Co and Ava ambulances and has been working on emergency plans for the last few days. Ambulances are not off road vehicles! JoMo
Wichita updated forecast discussion: We are strongly considering upgrading far southeast Kansas counties to a Blizzard Warning for later tonight through Tuesday night given prognosticated intense snowfall rates/amounts and halacious drifting expected. We are coordinating with surrounding offices to our northeast...east...and southeast. Snowfall rates/amounts will be lesser further west/northwest into central/S-cntrl Kansas and going headlines looking reasonable there.

My husband is the manager for the Webster Co and Ava ambulances and has been working on emergency plans for the last few days. Ambulances are not off road vehicles! Its the opposite here in my town. The roads are horribly taken care of in snow or ice . We are the last road on the edge of town with only a few houses on it and it just seems they dont even bother or care about this road. We complained last time cause we couldnt get out cause the end of this road is a pretty steep grade. They finally came and plowed it after many complaints from us and the neighbors lol. But yea 12-18" of snow will cripple the area and that freezing rain below the snow. Its just going to be awfull.
