Zelocita Weather
Looks like there will be 2 distinct impulses over the first part of next week. The first coming on Tuesday looks to be mainly snow. (2-4") looks to be a reasonable guess looking at all models. GFS/EURO/GEM/NAM all reflect this potential for light to moderate snows (possibly ending as sleet) for the NYC Metro and N/C NJ. Latest GFS total QPF output for the 1st event: 850s below 0 entire time this QPF is falling and should be all snow.
Zelocita Weather
If we all want to see a colder solution, the storm has to transfer to the coast or just be a weak wave, instead of a big bomb. This thread is not talking about the Wednesday warmer low, this is just the day Tuesday impulse before the bigger and warmer storm.

Zelocita Weather
Sorry about that. I will delete it. NAM has come way south and more impressive with the 1st overunning wave. QPF through hour 54 (80-100% of this QPF would be snow across the area). Clown maps from the NAM....Looks like 3-5" from around rt. 78 North http://wxcaster.com/gis-snow-overlays.php3?STATIONID=DIX
