FWIW the 06z GFS came in a little colder for a bit longer back here anyway. My guess is that it does that until game time and the kids get a day off on Tuesday. Anyone else notice that the snow isn't melting very much...I would bet that I have at least half if not more left from the storm last week...might be some slight flooding issues if the rain is substantial enough...mostly due to clogged drains.

Tony Pann on WBAL this morning going with light snow over to freezing rain/sleet overnight Monday into Tuesday morning.

I just don't see it. Again.

It should start as frozen precip, if timing of precip onset stays steady. Colder temps (and drier air) on Monday with drainage down from E-ern Canada/NE US should set the stage for a little snow/sleet ... but the question is how long before the low-level cold gets scoured out. Tuesday morning could see potential commuting issues if a quicker changeover to sleet/ZR after precip begins.

Yeah, harder for me to discount an ice storm set-up on this run, or at least a longer period of frozen precip before the rain gets here.

Plus, plenty of cold air dug in at this point, down to 19 at BWI this morning. Its probably going to take awhile to root the cold out. Will depend when precip gets here I guess.

Got way colder than I expected it to last night here...15 degrees...now 21

there's an arctic front to our NW depicted on this map

it'll probably wash out for the most part before it gets here, but it will still manage to bring in plenty of cold air to set the stage

me no likey ice, especially since its definitely gonna' warm up to >50 here on Wednesday per all the models and can only cause power outages, death and destruction on Tuesday

I wonder how long it will take Ji to get home this time

I don't know, but I bet his wife and kids are rooting for the coldest, iciest and snowiest solution for some "unknown" reason

I'm a snowcover guy so this past event at least for me has made this winter much better....still fairly deep out there and should still have some on the ground when the next frozen batch comes through before the rain.....eh who knows maybe we luck out this week.

Euro has BWI at 57 at 1PM on Wed; who knows how much higher it gets after that
