Is the snowfall for SNE mostly from the event on tuesday?

That map is for the whole shabbang. It's 120hrs. It's probably underdone for S VT/NH and N MA though.

21z SREFs are further north with the PV and are keeping the confluence a bit north. The srn wave is able to amplify a bit more. It doesn't really mean much unless we see it from the globals at 00z though.

Traveling back from Duxbury on Rt 3,almost got nailed after coming off the exit in Norwell, due to high freaken snowbanks the DOT fail to remove....USE CAUTION OUT THERE FOLKS WHEN EXITING THE HIGHWAY..93 128 OR 95 OR for Rt 3 south or north...dangerous!

Yeah driving conditions are horrible. When I pull into main street of my road you have to pull halfway out just to see part of the way down the road...its bad. And it looks like it will only get worse this week.

(Yes MRG, we know, you have plenty of room, there is always a huge snowpack, theres lots of woods, Ive never heard of a highway, we get it  )

Yeah I was that, so I was guessing most of that snowfall was falling on Tuesday (for SNE) and Wednesday was mostly ice/rain. Thanks.

Regardless, I hope to see a cooler thrend with the 00z suite tonight.

You know, It's becoming pretty clear to me that you people in southern New England are really having a tough time with all this snow. It must be quite a burden, and you all probably would love a break from it.

So, as your faithful friends to the north, we are happy to take the weight off your shoulders for the next few storms, or the rest of the winter if need be. We are willing to make this sacrifice to help you in your time of need.

Sincerely,

North of Rt 2

I too have been hearing a lot of the hardships of all the snow in Southern New England. I too am ready to do my part and am ready to receive a few large storms to help our brothers down south. Hopefully things will trend north and the folks south of the NH/MA boarder can get a nice net reduction from the next storm. We are willing northern neighbors ready to help out in any way we can. We have lots of open space for a few feet of snow in the upcoming weeks. That's what I like about us New Englanders, we are all willing to jump in to help each other. Life must be hell down there with narrow streets and no place to put anymore, you definately need a break!

Burbank likes a swath of 3-5" on tuesday. For Wednesday, he says snow-mix-rain south and east of Boston and snow-mix nw of worcester. He says even areas that mix at the end could get a foot of snow not counting tuesday.

I wonder if This ends up being a solid 3-6" event on tuesday followed by the storm Wednesday, If some places get 2 snow days this week lol. Tuesday coming home will probably be questionable conditions but if they know a bigger storm is coming Wednesday with already 3-7 snow days this year (depending on location), I doubt we'll get one Tuesday.

Either way, Im excited for this week. :snowman:

That's easy for you to say because your stores up there actually have roof rakes in stock.

This is the year of the ice dam for SNE. Nearly every house around my area has a wall of icicles on it and gutters full and frozen solid. Not complaining because I love the feet of snow I have on the ground, but the looking down the barrel of all that juicy QPF headed our way makes this homeowner a little nervous.

I was able to rake at least part of my roof with a roof rake I invented, and I at least got the downspouts flowing. But every homeowner knows that the water always wins unless you give it somewhere else to go. The options are becoming limited.

The NAM is close to going bonkers this run for CNE.

It has thicknesses higher than the 18z GFS so it's pushing the WAA and appetizer snow a little more north centered over the N MA border. There's a bit less push from the PV this run, but it looks like it's going to be really strong with the southern wave.

more like .6-.7 in ORH hahh

Nice, the twister-data maps arent the best haha. Also, kind of sweet if the timing worked out like this. WAA on Tuesday then a nice break tuesday night, everyone can get some rest and not miss anything before the main event plays out Wednesday. Even if it changes over at least we get 3-6, 4-8 tuesday and then maybe some more Wednesday before it changes over.

A lot of qpf either way, so its going to be a big storm.

992mb well into OH with the primary. Not too far off from the 18z GFS. It's way warmer than the GFS though and considering the GFS flirts me with pingers I'd have to think this run definitely would. At least it's the longer range NAM.

John...I see you lurking. Looks like it gives you warning criteria on Tuesday.

looking at 850 temps, you might flip to sleet tuesday after about 3" of snow...
